The Kruskal family gets together every Christmas to feast and reconnect over the holidays. Tom and Jody often play the concertina and we all sing the carols of our youth. Here we are at Kruskalmas  2023 playing:

Up On the Rooftop

Good King Wenceslas

Masters In This Hall

Bring A Torch Jeanette, Isabella

In the Bleak Midwinter

Es Ist ein Rose entsprungen

Didn't spot you were playing with linked arms until you unlinked at ~1:25. Might just try that with fellow Morris players...

What Rich Morse and I used to do was sit facing each other with two concertinas stretched between us, so we each had a right hand on one instrument and a left hand on the other. Somebody took pictures, but that was before the days of smartphone cameras, so the pics were on paper and of course I can’t find them.

That sounds pretty challenging!

What I have done is to try playing with the 'tina behind my back. I've not really pursued that one yet, but I think it may have possibilities...

Wonderful.

I've always found it fascinating that these are two superb players who happen to be related - but their styles are so different.

Is that the Kruskal family uniform that you're wearing? (In the photo above, not in the video.)
