My retirement flat is too small to store my 78rpm collection, so would anybody be interested in taking it on? The concertina items (approaching 300) have all been digitised and the best transcriptions are available on my website. There are probably the same quantity of other 78s including blues and popular music.

That is quite an offer. Sorry I can't help but I am just getting into this sort of record following my inheriting a box of interesting records. If anything I would be interested in asking your advice on the subject in general, me being very new to it.

I appreciate this is probably not the sort of reply you are looking for with this thread but if you did have some time to humour me, do sent me a PM as I have a load of questions about this sort of record.

I wish you the very best with finding someone to take on the collection.

Oh. This puts me in a quandary. I want to say yes to this very generous offer. But, I'm about to move to a smaller place myself. If I took them, they might go into storage or the loft for a while (which would seem a shame). And, currently, I have no means of playing them.

But, I wouldn't want the collection to be disbanded. I shall have to consider if I could take this on (I really want to!)
