Concertina Sighting - Rhythm on the River

From the 1940 movie with Bing Crosby, an English concertina appears at 0:10 but is not played, and thankfully not hit with drumsticks either!

Looks like an English Concertina, but with some odd attachments at the top, which I can't quite make out.

I was thinking the same thing. Wrist straps on an English are not unheard of, but unusual, and it’s hard to see if it has thumb loops.

Straps on it?..? Oh good that's because they probably hold it like I do.. with all their hands through fingers and all inside to play it😊😊😊😊😊
