Hallo everybody!

I‘m Sanna from Germany and I‘m happy about this discussion board!

I‘m a self-taught beginner and to use the buttons is not a great problem for me. But how to play in the real irish style? What about the phrasing, using the bellow, ornamentations? There is so much, I don‘t know! So I would like to learn with a teacher - online and once a month (I‘m also learning Tin Whistle).

Is there anybody who could teach me?

Or is there anybody who knows someone?

Thank you very much!

Sanna

I’m guessing that you already know about pre-recorded lessons that are discussed elsewhere on this website: OAIM, Caitlin, Jack Talty.
I believe that Boston Comhaltas (USA) has just started a term of online group lessons, with Florence Fahy teaching concertina: https://bostonirishmusicschool.com

There are a number of people offering one to one online lessons. Below are some links that I’ve come across.

Another option is to travel to Ireland for one of the week-long summer schools, most of which feature concertina, or for one of the specialist concertina events which have workshops:
