Stagshaw Bank Fair & Lasses Pass The Brandy.
.
Two Northumbrian Pipe tunes, the first was published in 1887 & the second in 1770.
Played on Hammered Dulcimer, English Concertina, Fiddle & Bodhran.

Yes & in the William Vickers 1770 Northumbrian music manuscript collection it was actually called: - Lasses Pisses Brandy🙂

I always go to the TTA as my first choice when hunting down the ABC for the tunes you post, but as I already had this tune in my 'ABC Master File', I didn't bother looking this time - and so missed this account.

 

Fascinating stuff - thank you!

 

These big fairs have interesting histories -for example there are several descriptions of Bartholomew Fair (another good tune/song) in London lurking on the internet...
