gavdav
My usual vacillation between systems means that although I have owned this for over a year I’ve played it once or twice in public and have been dedicated to improving my duet playing. So, speculatively offering it here for sale or trade. Happy to consider an accordion-reeded G/D with cash my way, a decent Maccann duet or a high quality folk guitar (e.g. Fylde, Martin. Lowden) or cittern in some kind of deal. Ballpark value of £3500, to inform your interest/trade thoughts. Happy to discuss price and cash or PayPal sale possible. its an idiosyncratic box with a full A row enabling cross fingerings between the D and A rows. You can play easily up and down the rows in G, D and A and related keys. G drone. Layout has been modified by a previous owner from Wheatstone layout accidentals to something not quite standard to closer match their Jeffries. Will dig out the keyboard chart. 1920ish, top period with 8 fold bellows and modern replacement straps. Restored in the 1970s by John Holman. Comes with a very nice bespoke 1970s Holman leather double case with room for another 30 key Anglo or small duet (in my case!!) Based in NW England but travel frequently around England. photos details etc. on request, please send a message. Edited September 15 by gavdav Corrected details.
