irene Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 (edited) It's a Corelli Concertina, plain wood as far as I can tell the bellows look great, straps are missing, I found it at an Uncle's house after he passed away, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it? Like what year it is from, if it is unique or not, possibly how much it is worth? Thanks so much! This is a really neat website. The concertina has a Corelli signature, a model number (229) and Made in Italy imprinted on it. Thanks, Irene Edited September 17, 2005 by irene
Stephen Chambers Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Irene, Corelli seems to have been a brand name of Buegeleisen & Jacobson of New York City, who imported a lot of instruments from Europe. The Corelli concertinas that I have seen seem to be of post World War 2 construction. There was some mention of them in this thread.
