Daniel Hersh
I don't know if this pic has been posted here before. I got it from Autumn Rhodes, who says it's by the artist Imogen Speer.
Clive Thorne
Calling Simon Gabrielow: She holds the concertina like you do! So it's not just you: It's you and a, erm, mermaid.

Anglogeezertoo
Looks like a German style anglo to me - bellows in three sections separated by two wooden frames. She’s left the strap fixed across the top to hold it closed. Jake
SIMON GABRIELOW
Well, all I can say is if my revolutionary method of barely holding concertina has inspired a mermaid ..then it can't be too bad choice, I say😊😊

I’m sorry, I don’t recall the author’s name. The poor lady who plays the Chem-NITZ-er: What a nightmare to find one that fits ’er. On the draw she’s okay, Nothing gets in the way. But on the squeeze the damn thing de-tits’er.

SIMON GABRIELOW
Mermaid wishes to respond ( I let her use my own account to do so)...! It is nooo good.. I shall have to respond ! I am the mermaid in that picture and was taught to play by a well respected Neptune like person.. and by the sirens of ancient times and myth. And I am always very careful when playing my concertina, I will have you know! I lift it well away from my person, in a dignified manner. I also run a stable of Seahorses that play flutes.😊 Edited August 19 by SIMON GABRIELOW

David Barnert
I’d remember if it was Jody, whom I’d known for years at that time. It was someone I didn’t know.
seanc
My need to answer questions here are. Why does a mermaid need what appears to be a bathing suit? And where exactly does it attach underneath? Sorry too baffled by this to move on to question the underwater concertina aspect.
Clive Thorne
very good points.
SIMON GABRIELOW
Poor Mermaid it is all quite sexist😊 I shall write a mermaid tube soon and that will take care of the matter. Because if you are rude to a mermaid then one needs to recompence by giving an offering🌝 Or you will end up in Goldfish bowl .or even on Neptune's dinner plate! Wait and SEA what turns up soon!!!!😊
