SteveFile Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 (edited) Reed Tuning Bellows Made by Bill Crossland, not sure when exactly. Certainly before 2016 and maybe as far back as 2008. The five fold bellows are in very good condition and the woodwork is in good condition too. Price = £200 plus shipping and insurance etc. More pictures here: https://www.duetconcertinas.co.uk/99/index.html Edited September 2, 2024 by SteveFile 1

David Lay Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 He has not responded to me, though I said I wanted to buy it.
4to5to6 Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 I have one of these made by Bill Crossland. He included two reed openings instead of one so I could use it for tuning larger reeds. I like it 1

Peter Smith Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Mark Lloyd-Adey (Concertina Spares) made me almost identical tuning bellows a number of years ago. I think he is still open for business.
Matthew Heumann Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 (edited) Last I spoke to Mark, he was only doing limited business (urgent requests by phone). But he was willing & gracious enough to send me some materials to make my own parts. Edited August 29, 2024 by Matthew Heumann changed wording

Yes, his web site has been closed for months now. He did respond to emails last year, but this year, having started an email conversation to buy new bellows it all went quiet at his end. It would be really good if he could sell his stock spares and the company goodwill to someone younger who could provide a responsive spares service.
4to5to6 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 (edited) Yes, that’s too bad… I need a few end bolts and a couple of riveted reeds and some buttons. Some projects have bern on hold for years. I just bought a small lathe that will do threads so need to figure end bolts out. The same thing with the riveted reed shoes. Especially the ones with a flared slot. How did they do it??? I’ve always heard that “Necessity is the mother of invention.” so we all just need to figure it out. I don’t have a choice if I’m going to play and restore vintage instruments. There are many other ways to tune reeds other than with a bellows. There are a lots of YouTube videos with samples. Hopefully we can all share resources to help one another. Could c.net add a separate “Spares” wanted / for sale category? We’ll work it out. . Edited August 31, 2024 by 4to5to6
