Jody Kruskal plays Sweet Marie on the C/G Anglo concertina. This tune started out as a popular song from the 1890s. This crooked old time version here is from the playing of Kentucky fiddler Walter Lile.

Terrific tune, beautifully played.

A question: why are you choosing to play your current round of oldtime tunes on the CG?  When I encounter an oldtime tune in G or D, I automatically  reach for the GD.  Are you doing this for the distinctive sound of the CG? Or for an instructional project?

Whatever the reason, I like it.
