Can anyone tell me where I can find (if there is any) the serial number in my Colin Dipper concertina?
I would love to find out more about this beautiful instrument that became mince half a year ago. I love it so much!
But I am a beginner player and new to thr world of concertinas.

It has metal plates on the outside, 7 folds bellow, 30 buttons.
On each side on the outside plates is the logo.
In the last fold on the right are also the logo and Rosalie Dipper marker that says Bellows number.... and Serial number....
Nothing is written on it, though.

INSIDE: I found R180 written in pencil on the inside. another piece of the puzzle, hopefully

Thanks in advance!

There is a number in this shot next to the middle buttons, punched into the action board in black numerals.

You could email the Dippers and quote that number, ask them what you want.

That looks like R180 again.

Have you taken out the reed pans to look on the inside? I had a Dipper until recently. I think (but I can't be certain) there was a number printed there in the form 092/85; 92 being the serial number and 85 the year of manufacture (1985). I would guess 180 is the serial number.

I’d be thinking 180 was the number of this concertina. Something pencilled in could be a working number, a batch number etc. Once the punches come out it is serious and final.

My Dipper, c.1980, has 11132 engraved on one of the end plates. The invoice refers to it as a treble one style concertina so I guess it’s number 32 of that type.
