Mike Acott Posted June 25 Posted June 25 I have owned this rare monster for a number of years but sadly I do not play it often enough it is up for sale.I do have some provenance on the box and some information from Geoff Crabb, It was last worked on by Crabb and is in concert pitch and in superb condition with the 8 fold airtight bellows. I will be providing some photos in the next couple of days. Mike
Albus P Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Interested! But that box has to be full accordion size, isn't it?
Geoffrey Crabb Posted June 26 Posted June 26 To give some indication of relative size, a picture from my personal archive.😏 9
Geoffrey Crabb Posted June 27 Posted June 27 In response to a PM request, I attach a typical keyboard layout for a Crabb 80 key Crane (core key C). Others were made with core keys Bb and Eb. 80 Key Crane Keyboard Crabb.doc Geoff
Leah Velleman Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Jeez, do you pick your wrists up off the rests to play the far buttons? Or do you just need massive fingers?
Mike Acott Posted July 1 Author Posted July 1 Hello, My daughter did the photos and has just gone on holiday for two weeks , I will try to do some pics and put them on the site Regards. Mike
Michael Leitch-Devlin Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Looking forward to seeing the photos (and the price tag). I play a 'mere' 67-key Crane. I had no idea there were 80-key Cranes. Definitely interested.
Mike Acott Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 Hello, my main Crane is a 68 key Crabb which I use for singing with, the extras on the 80 key are at the max stretch on the right hand end add old age and it is a problem for me. I do have some provenance on the history of the last owner with his purchase receipt. Regards. Mike.
Geoffrey Crabb Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) Some prior pics here. At the start. Edited July 4 by Geoffrey Crabb

saguaro_squeezer Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Mike, sending you a PM. Having had a number of Crabb Cranes, the 80 button and Geoff’s 16-sided would be my two Holy Grails … if you are allowed two, that is!
