Jody Kruskal Posted June 22, 2024 Author Posted June 22, 2024 Sweet Marie works great on the C/G, thanks!
a4naught Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I love this list and your accompanying vids, as a long time ITM fiddler, recent concertina player. Even though I have not yet entered the melodic waters I do love occasionallyI working thru my OT tunes on the concertina, bugging my OT friends only a little, and was just about to post a query when I saw your post. Thank you. Great stuff.
Jody Kruskal Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 Hi a4naught, So glad that you like this OT C/G Anglo project. I too have played Irish trad tunes for years, but in my harmonic style for dances. Perhaps I'll post some of those up sometime. In the meantime, here's an update. I've posted up three more Old Time tunes bringing the total to 17, so far. What's the next tune, do you think? Sandy Boys in A? Farewell Trion in C? Golden Slippers in G? Or...? I always enjoyed playing Maggots on a Sheep's Hide. And the oldtime version of Yellow Rose of Texas (not the Tennessee Earnie Ford song). And Magpie.
