Matthew Heumann Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) The tune starts off with the synced sound of the paddle-wheeler and the notation program instrument, then blends into my playing it on a 1921 Amboyna Treble Edeophone. It was composed at the request/challenge of Concertina.net member & Matilda's Skipper, Australian Anglo concertina player Chris Rowe. He sent me an audio track of Matilda's paddles slapping the water and asked for a tune to match the tempo. Matilda was cruising the Murray River at 5 mph. I suspect he'll now use it as an excuse to sequester himself on board until he learns the tune. Wish I could join him! The dots and pdf, musicxml, & xml files are available to signed-in members at the link below this posting. ps- I jokingly call this tune "Pulsing Matilda". Don't know if it was a noteworthy endeavour, but we both thought it was great crack! Edited June 11, 2024 by Matthew Heumann additional text 3
