The Sparrowhawk

One afternoon I had this amazing bird in my garden [ having a nibble on a poor sparrow!]  Fantastic , sleek, and quite small in size, with amazing huge yellow glistening eyes, and sharp claws!  It stayed for a long time in amidst my 'overgrown' back garden before leaving almost unnoticed, suddenly.

Here it is [ musically imagined] sweeping down in semiquavers, and rests in-between before leaving again in  a flash of energy.   The illustrations are based upon my own reference and observations of that bird itself!
