Mike Acott Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Good Afternoon! I am thinking that the time might have come to part with my 80 key Crabb Special Crane duet. It's a stunning instrument that simply isn't getting played as much as it deserves. The instrument has a range from C2 to C7 , with an octave overlap between the two ends. This stunner comes with its original brown leather case, with provenance included of earlier sales from Crabb, and a photograph of the maker, Henry Crabb. This is an extraordinarily rare instrument. Price on application. Serious inquiries only, please. 3
JimR Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 What a beautiful instrument. Someone will be very happy with this.
Mike Acott Posted October 14, 2023 Author Posted October 14, 2023 I believe the engraving was done by a French based co called Busson , Geoff crabb may be able to confirm this. Mike
4to5to6 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 I’m an English player but did start out on a Crane Duet. I’m curious… what is the size (across the flats)? Gorgeous engraving!
Mike Acott Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 across the flats is 93/4" Regards. Mike
