WTB: vintage wrist strap thumb screws

Do any of the repairers and restorers here have any vintage wrist strap thumb screws from a scrapper available?

 

I have a requirement for 2x wrist strap screws (Wheatstone Aeola EC), and the corresponding brass receiver plates.

You should get in touch with Robert Tedrow, on Facebook, or at Homewood Music. I believe that he has new thumbscrews available, with the receivers. They look the same as vintage but with the advantage of coming with the appropriate receivers to inset in the wood frame.

Steve Dickinson provided me a pair of brass thumbscrews and and inserts for English thumb straps last month, so I strongly suspect he could do the same for wrist straps.

I think new parts would look odd on a vintage instrument, unless I replaced the thumb strap screws as well.  The instrument in question has some patina on the thumb strap screws.

 

What I'm really after are vintage parts.

 

Does anyone here have any vintage spares going?

     Tourmaline metal Patination liquid will patinate new metal parts in a few seconds….it works well and very easy to use!🙂
