Wheatstone 48 button GDA Anglo , time to pass it on.

Wheatstone 48 button Anglo concertina Keys GDA. UK only .  Looking for £4000 with a 

leather double case that will also take a Jeffries Anglo .  i can supply further images to anyone interested.

 

The concertina is a  metal ended steel reeded instrument numbered 28474 which dates it to July 15^th 1920 according to the Horniman Wheatstone Ledgers. Tuned to modern pitch

Button Layout as follows. 

G”  = G sharp Bb =B flat

1 = Relative Octave Number written above each  button

Definitely interested! I absolutely do not need another concertina but I would consider it a great addition to my (smallish) collection.

I'm still thinking about it. I happened to be nearer the OP's home than my own for some of the weekend, so I visited to have a twiddle before heading home later. The big question is how much use I would make of it. Having three home keys rather than the usual two is marvellous of course, but it doesn't have some of the buttons for alternative fingerings that I have become very accustomed to on the standard 40-key Wheatstone layout. If someone else would like to give it a good home I will not stand in their way.
