seanc Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 All, Saw that Barleycorn has a 67B Crabb Crane. Thinking that if things happen this could be a candidate for my step up from my 55b New Model. But, having no hands on experience with any Crabbs. And not finding what the "standard" button lay out for a 67B is. I am flying blind. I know that Crabb, generally, has received great accolades. And from what I can gather is at least on par with a Wheatsone (various from specimen to specimen, of course). But, does anyone know where the extra buttons come in? Are they all on the top? or does it extend the range down below the standard Cs? Could anyone provide insight?
Greg Jowaisas Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 The ICA maintains the original Crane Driver site. You should find this link useful: https://crane.concertina.org/layouts.html
seanc Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 Thanks Greg! Your input, as always, is appreciated!!! looks like the 67 goes to G below the (standard) C I have..
Geoffrey Crabb Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Variations do exist, but the attached seems to be the most common of Crabb 67's. 67 Key Crane Keyboard Crabb Type A 1.doc Check with Chris. Geoff
seanc Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 Thanks Geoff, I have enough stuff up for sale that I am optimistic I will have funds available soon. To buy something. Hopfully, there will be a few cranes floating around once I have funds..
