genepinefield
HOHNER English Concertina 48Key treble reveted action with accordion reeds. Push and pull should be F6, but E6 comes out by pushing. Can I tuning the reeds up one note? For this, I made a tuning bellows, but I have absolutely no skill in tuning. Theo
Usually the reason for a note sounding so low in pitch is that the reed tongue is cracked, and needs to be replaced. It is sometimes possible to tune a reed up by a semitone (like E to F) but it does require some skill and a very good file.

Because I heard that this instrument was purchased 15 years ago and hadn't been used much. I'll check the reed
Mike Acott
If you file the tip of the reed it will raise the pitch . A cracked reed goes down in pitch and mostly goes quieter in volume Mike
