Bbc2 Morris Dancing "2's"

Recommended Posts

Are these "rotating idents" something to do with false teeth or are the BBC just putting some spin on it?

I think that it is an attempt at humour.... but I just noticed in their write up that they call the concertina a Melodeon!

That may be because the instrument you hear is a melodeon (an Erica)

Bbc2 Morris Dancing "2's", Anyone recognise the Concertina?

My reply to that question, in an earlier thread was :

... it must be a German concertina as the handstraps are parallel with the sides, not at 90º to them like an Anglo or duet, and it's blue in colour, which you do get on new German concertinas. It looks like one of the large models, which often have two sets of reeds in the treble, and three in the bass, so it could sound similar to a melodeon.  ;)

On the other hand, it sounds like they are performing a stick dance, but the animation shows them dancing with handkerchiefs !

Mark, how could you tell that the melodeon was an Erica? I don't have a sound card either, but that don't seem to signify here.
