Jillser Nic Amhlaoibh Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Looks like milk chocolate to me... 1
Anglo-Irishman Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Mmmm! Delicious! Where are you? I'll bring my own plate and fork ... Cheers, John 1
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Looks like a charming handmade job; maybe a special.project:for someone; does it sound ok? 1
Pistachio Dreamer Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 Chocolate indeed, and I think I'm going to need some help finishing it. Exquisite attention to detail by a Paris chocolatier, commissioned by family. I think they did an excellent job from only seeing pictures online. 1
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Congratulate that chocolatier .. as I have to admit ( red faced).. I thought it was someone's project, and genuine! There' a saying to "eat your own words".. but in this case it is relative!

Simon, I'm tickled someone fell for it, though I realise I'm a little late for April fools!
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 That CHOCOLATE [yes I now know it is not real] Concertina looks very tasty; I would like to C how it tastes B fore it is too late [ made this up hide my initial mistake]
David Barnert Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 My only question is: Why are there no pistachios?

I know of at least one set of laser printer templates for Anglo concertina, eg: here. I don't think laser printers work properly if you feed them a diet of Cadbury's Chocolate Buttons... So, is it 'solid' chocolate (or blancmange, or whatever) or is it 'icing' on a celebration cake? It looks pretty convincing at first sight... Edited April 14, 2022 by lachenal74693
Pistachio Dreamer Posted April 22, 2022 Author Posted April 22, 2022 UPDATE: The chocotina is now looking like it is in serious need of restoration. It's mainly dark chocolate, with white chocolate buttons of course. Whilst the ends and bellows frame are hollow, there were no signs of any confection based action levers, pans or reeds. The bellows are actually solid chocolate, which I'm not unhappy about.
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I bet it plays a smoothly as it tastes?!!!😃
