Gregor Markič Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 (edited) This is my latest purchase. IMO not too expensive (200€). It stays with me until my dear widow sells it. Basic button layout is like an ordinary 20buttons concertina, with accidentals I still have problems. The buttons are surprisingly well responsive, It must have been restored. The sound is rather zinc-tin-plate-poor. https://photos.app.goo.gl/QFfEukScQQwJKbC3A Edited February 18, 2022 by Gregor Markič
Anglo-Irishman Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Very nice, Gregor! The trim and fittings remind me of my small no-name Bandoneon, but mine is "zinc-plate rich"-sounding rather than "zinc-tin-plate-poor," as you put it. Cheers, John 1
gcoover Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I've always wondered how one repairs a broken reed on these long plates, I see they added a new piece on top. Soldered? Waxed? I would think it would sound slightly different? Gary
