David Barnert
On another thread, we got into the question of temperaments. I just found a post on the squeezebox group with a link to a nice basic review of what temperaments are, why they are necessary, and how they work. It is written from the point of view of the modern piano, but much of it is sufficiently general as to be of interest to non-pianists. Here's the link: http://www.uk-piano.org/edfoote/ Go nuts. Chris Ghent
David, thanks, I've been wanting that explanation for a long time. Brilliant page, it would be great if someone could adapt/relate it to concertinas and send it to Paul for the site Chris
