Ray Smith
In search of Don Nichols (USA), who purchased a Wheatstone Bass Concertina (Monty) from Roger Green in South Australia. Roger's widow is keen to know where "Monty" is now, and is he happy!
Ken_Coles
Someone who would know is Rachel Hall in eastern Pennsylvania. For some years after 2001 she borrowed DoN's bass and brought it to the concertina orchestra at the North East Squeeze In each September. Plenty of fun squeezing in those years! Chris Ghent
I think this thread needs to have the words “Where is Don Nichols” in the title.

So sorry, at that moment it felt like the right thing to do because so many people were wondering about him, but I see how it was wrong. Kind regrets, bassconcertina.net Edited December 8, 2021 by Bassconcertina.net
Bassconcertina.net
I don’t plan on contacting him again, but I have contact with a person that is friends with him and I’ll ask him some questions, Edited December 8, 2021 by Bassconcertina.net
Moll Peatly
Thanks, I appreciate you were trying to be helpful. I suggest the appropriate course would be to point Don to this thread and let him get in touch if he wants to.

DoN [sic], although he was very active in the rec.music.makers.squeezebox usenet group back in the day, DOES NOT participate in web-based forums. David Barnert
What he can and can’t do, I cannot say. I can certainly say that he does not come to concertina.net. And that’s pretty much all I can say.
