48-key Boyd at auction!?

Looks like  a Lachenal    by  the  tiny  screws  that  hold  the metal  ends  in place.  The  Wheatstone  version would  have  the  screws  on the inside  of the  frames.  Yes the  flat  buttons  and  the    lip on the  outer edge  of the  finger plate  suggest  Lachenal.

The  Auction  notification  does  not  say  H.Boyd.     An interested  bidder  would  want  to  see a  photo  of the  right hand  fretwork.

They do now show the RH end, and there's no 'H Boyd' in the fretwork. Does this indicate that it was sold by Boyd, but not made for them?

When I had one the same as it, years ago, I wondered if it was because it was an early one - before Harry Boyd started getting his name cut into the fretwork.

Otherwise, maybe only the (more-usual) 56-key treble ones had that feature?
