Bill N
Odd that there are no photos of the ends. Pretty curt description as well.
JimmyG
I dunno whether it's dodgy or not, but the seller is called conmanbillsie 😅
alex_holden
I would want to see it in person to check that it's real, but if it is then the current price (£3000) is a bargain.
Sunbeamer
I asked Mr CMB a question last night, by EBay email ,no response till now . ......... it looks very nice, as you say if it’s for real.
John Wild
The condition is stated as brand new, unused, in original packaging:- New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Paul Read
The account has been inactive for over a year also which suggests possible hijack. I guess we'll see if he responds to questions. I've asked for pics of the ends.
Daniel Hersh
If it is a scam, I wonder where the seller got the images.

Paul Read
I've had reliable information that this is indeed genuine but it is being sold by someone who doesn't know anything about concertinas on behalf of the owner.

In which case it would be very helpful if the seller would pass questions on to the owner and come back with the answers. It does make sense that someone who has never sold on ebay would get someone who is a regular seller to do it on their behalf.

Unfortunately that's up to him.

RP3
Judging from the anchor and cable bellows end stamping, I’m guessing that this is a Shantyman model. It is a shame that there are no end photos or reliable information. Then, since they won’t ship to US, it is a moot point for moi! Ciaran Algar
We're extremely suspicious of this Dipper. We've asked twice for pictures of the ends and for the serial number and had no response, and the fact there are no pictures of the ends to begin with makes no sense. We're aware of three Dippers stolen in Ireland over the last 6/7 years, and our thoughts are that the reason for no end pictures might be so that the instrument isn't identifiable. We've been hurt before by buying instruments that have turned out to be stolen- we lost the entire price we paid for them with no compensation. I'm sure that the person who listed the item does have the instrument, but there are a number of red flags.
RP3
Ciaran, was one of the stolen Dippers a Shantyman? If so, this could be it. Ross Schlabach
