Perhaps 'borders' moved post-39 and again post-45 leading to Factories/Makers moving State with them ?  

 

There certainly has been fluidity in borders in the region (which was formerly Bohemia), including Hitler's annexation of the Sudetenland, but that's not the issue here.

 

"Lester" wasn't a factory, instead it was a brand name of the importers/wholesalers Buegeleisen and Jacobson in New York, and hence it may be found on instruments made in different factories, in different countries.

 

Mind you, the "Made in Czechoslovakia" ones were probably made at Kraslice (Czech name), otherwise known as Graslitz (German name), which is only about 5 km. (3 miles) from Klingenthal in Saxony, where the "Made in Germany" ones would have been made...
