JamesRM
Anyone have an arrangement for a 30 Button Anglo for 'Right Said Fred' and/or "Whole in the Ground" by Bernard Cribbins? So we can have a cuppa tea. Kindest regards James
David Barnert
I love “Right Said Fred.” I play guitar when I’m singing it (I’ve known it for 20+ years). Never tried it on concertina. When Cribbins sings it he does the 2nd half a semitone higher than the 1st half. Might be doable on a 30-button anglo, but I would think awkward. I never heard “Hole in the Ground” until just now (found it on YouTube). BTW, Cribbins didn’t write the two songs. He performed them. They were both written by Myles Rudge (lyrics) and Ted Dicks (music).
John Wild
In those days it was common (at least in the U.K.) to find comedy records getting into the week's top 10, along with the pop hits of the day. They got lots of plays on radio for some weeks.
