Were they filmed in Japan? I notice on google that there’s a Birdland Cafe in Okinawa.

I think the first one was filmed in Japan, at Birdland Cafe in Kanagawa, not in Okinawa.

So they both must have been. It’s the 2nd one that says “Location at Birdland Cafe” without naming a city.

They have a very nice new recording, where she is double tracked on mandolin and concertina:
