What is it? surely that is not a concertina layout?

You haven’t been paying attention. It’s a Hayden. The right hand side has the standard 25 buttons that you’d find on the right side of a 46-key Hayden and the left hand side has 24 buttons, 3 more than the 21 you’d find on a 46. The white buttons are the notes of a C major scale and the black are the notes whose names have accidentals.
