Hello guys, my experience is that I lost 700 euros. I live in Brazil and in July last year (2019) I had a friend traveling through Italy. So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to buy a 46 Stagi Hayden Duet. My dream is to play brasilian music with that instrument.

I researched the Internet and found that Stagi Lorenzo was the owner of the Brunnermusica.com store for over 30 years and that it was the same factory as Bastari.

On the website I found an email and a phone number to contact. I chose the email first to keep everything registered. I asked if a Hayden Duet 46 was in stock and if it could be shipped within 20 days to a specific address. They said yes, no problem and sent me a deposit account in the name of "Stagi Lorenzo". Perfect! I made the transfer and waited very satisfied.
I made the transfer exactly on my birthday as a gift to myself with money that I spent a lot of time saving.

My friend's return date passed and an instrument arrived at the specific address 5 days late. But not a Hayden Duet, a Bastari W15 totally damaged inside, with several notes without sound.

Pay attention!

I lost money that supports my whole family for a whole month here in Brazil to these serious professionals and concerned about their customers!!!

Thanks for your attention and good luck!!

When one buys a business, one acquires its obligations and debts. Talk to a lawyer.

I already have everything organized to start the judicial process. Because of the pandemic, things are lagging a bit, but it could take years anyway.

But, on the other hand, the odds are in my favor, since everything is explicitly documented.

I'm sorry to say that, from searching the internet and Concertina.net tonight, it seems that Brunner Stagi are no longer manufacturing, and are possibly only hanging on by a thread.

Their website returns "Object not found! Error 404": http://www.brunnermusica.com/concertine.php?categoria=4&id=30

Whilst the domain seems to have been sold: http://brunnermusica.com/

And Dun & Bradstreet report that BRUNNER MUSICA DI STAGI LORENZO & C. SAS have one employee and a turnover of $209,000 per annum - which is a totally insignificant sum for a manufacturing business: https://www.dnb.com/business-directory/company-profiles.brunner_musica_di_stagi_lorenzo__c_sas.4f911d527333b7f111c45ccc7f70567d.html

No wonder people have been having such problems dealing with them over the past two years - when another business took over the manufacturing in 2018: https://www.fabbricaconcertine.com/eng/index.html#header5-3

It looks like Fabbrica Concertine has taken over the whole operation according to their website.  They say, "From June 2018, all the production and marketing of the Concertine has been exclusively entrusted to Fabbrica Concertine srls, which carries out the "Laboratorio Artigianale" for the production of Diatonic and chromatic concertinas. Therefore, Fabbrica Concertine srls is the sole distributor in the market Italian and International, of Concertine and Organetti with STAGI brands and BASTARI," and "The new members of Fabbrica Concertine, who took over in April 2019, have decided to undertake this activity, primarily because supported by valuable contribution of collaborators who work, from A to Z, the Concertinas for 23 years, and then as lovers and convinced supporters of the Craft Products "MADE IN ITALY" and "MADE in RECANATI"".

Has anyone here had any dealings yet with the people at Fabbrica Concertine?  I can't tell if the original poster on this thread was dealing with them or the people at Brunner (if those are in fact different people from the ones at Fabbrica Concertine).

Daniel, it seems pretty clear that he was dealing with Lorenzo Stagi and Brunnermusica.com, and after the original business had been taken over...

A long shot, perhaps, but maybe you could contact Fabbrica Concertine and see if they would be interested in helping you on the Italian end.  I would think that they should at least want to work to eliminate (from the internet) any references which could lead others to being similarly cheated in trying to buy a product which is now properly associated with their name.
