DaveM Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Over the past few weeks one of my thumbs has started sliding too deep into the loop on my concertina. Moving to the next hole in the strap makes it too small. What are some good techniques for getting a tighter fit?
DickT Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 In the past I have used a craft knife to connect the holes to make a slot for infinitely variable adjustment.
Gerard Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I bought a pair of black leather work gloves from my local Army, Navy store. The leather is fairly thin and easy to work with. Cut strips about 3 inches long and a bit wider than twice the width of the thumb strap. Wrapped it around the thumb strap with the free ends facing the tips of my thumbs and then sewed them together. A needle nose pliers or surgical needle holder is helpful. Best regards, Gerry
DaveM Posted October 28, 2020 Author Posted October 28, 2020 I ended up tucking some gauze in between the strap and the body just above the thumb loop.
