This is an early John Crabb, 30-key + drone, C/G Anglo concertina with a gorgeous, sweet, velvety tone. It has solid (not veneered) rosewood ends, a riveted action and original steel reeds, numbered 1887 and probably made in the 1870s. (John Crabb was making Jeffries' concertinas in the 1870s/'80s, and this is made like one.) It has been re-padded, re-valved and tuned to A=440 concert pitch.
