Lynda Bass
Hello all, Looking to sell a couple of Bastari. They are large and square with 39 keys. They look like chemnitzers or bandoneons. Does anyone know anything about these type of concertinas, or at least can point me in the right direction to get info? They are virtually new and from the 1990's. Any help would be greatly appreciated; I thank you in advance. Lynda Bass
saguaro_squeezer
Hi Lynda, with that key layout ... and I’d love to see a picture of the left side ... these are Chemnitzer-style concertinas. You might also go over the the US Concertina Assn's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/usca.wcc/ and post the question to them, too. They're pretty friendly people. kind regards, Rod Edited December 7, 2019 by saguaro_squeezer

Lynda Bass
Hi again, This is the one with the brown straps. I don't know how to figure out which key they are in, and what they are worth. Lynda
saguaro_squeezer
Hi Lynda, Here's a link to a site that should help you. https://concertinamusic.com/key/ I'm imagining that they're in the key of C, since from my limited experience, the alternate keys are generally found in larger instruments. Give it a try and let me know what you find. Kind regards, Rod
