On profile "The recent visitors block is disabled..."?

Recommended Posts

I was setting up my profile and saw that "The recent visitors block is disabled and is not being shown to other users." It then has an option to enable something...the block, I guess. Can anyone help me to understand what this means? I kind of want to enable it just to see what happens, but maybe it's disabled for some good reason that I just don't understand.

I don't know why it's disabled. When it's enabled, it shows a list of users that have recently looked at your profile page.

That statement leaves me confused.

Is "blocking" the list of recent visitors disabled.  Or is it the "block" which shows the list of recent visitors which is disabled?

I think it's the latter.

The latter indeed. When you look at mac ponc's profile the block "recent profile visitors" shows no name, but only the message that it's disabled. The same in the JimLucas profile.

But for example alex_holden's recent visitors block shows how many profile views there have been and the list of the most recent visitors.  In my profile this block is enabled as well.

Yes, the language left me confused too, but now I think I get it. And your comments gave me the courage to go ahead and enable it. Thanks very much everyone!
