conzertino Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I'm planning to make one of my dreams come true: a small concertina-end with a single button to operate my doorbell. The Crabb shop in Islington had one, which I pressed very impressed many years ago! For me it would have to be eight-sided, though - and ideally have an original metal Wheatstone ( pointy ) badge. So does anyone have a spare Wheatstone-badge ( for sale )?? 1
RAc Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Alex Holden makes these (among many, many other things) to your specifications. 1
Sunbeamer Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Steve Dickinson At Wheatstone might have a badge

conzertino Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 It just cane to me that it makes much more sense to have a badge with my own name, since it is a door-bell;-) And C. Wheatstone doesn't live here anymore...
Tradewinds Ted Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 and perhaps your address as you don't seem to live in London! or maybe just your house number, in the style of a serial number badge.
John Wild Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 And you might get a lot of misdirected post! ?

Don Taylor Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Surely the GPO has caught up with mail posted in the 1820's by now? If not, then the stamps might be worth keeping.
