conzertino
I'm planning to make one of my dreams come true: a small concertina-end with a single button to operate my doorbell. The Crabb shop in Islington had one, which I pressed very impressed many years ago! For me it would have to be eight-sided, though - and ideally have an original metal Wheatstone ( pointy ) badge. So does anyone have a spare Wheatstone-badge ( for sale )??

conzertino
It just cane to me that it makes much more sense to have a badge with my own name, since it is a door-bell;-) And C. Wheatstone doesn't live here anymore...

Tradewinds Ted
and perhaps your address as you don't seem to live in London! or maybe just your house number, in the style of a serial number badge.

Don Taylor
Surely the GPO has caught up with mail posted in the 1820's by now? If not, then the stamps might be worth keeping.
