Squeezebox Surgeon Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 (edited) I recently did some work on this Lachenal concertina for a customer. Most of the refurbishing happened before my hands, and no way I can tell who did the work. It seems in really good shape to me. I don’t know concertinas much, I have more experience with accordions. The owner is now looking to sell it, and I’m helping get the word out… Lachenal & Co. 48-key English Concertina Recently refurbished with new 6-fold bellows and concert tuning (A440). Steel reeds, no rust. Good compression. Rosewood ends, in beautiful shape. Leather thumb straps in excellent shape. The highest C reeds on the right-hand side have been removed by a previous owner to allow for an air valve. Serial number is missing - most likely from the early 1900's. Lachenal & Co. produced concertinas from 1873-1933. No case. $1450. Located in Portland, Oregon. This has possibly sold. I've removed the contact info until I know the outcome. Thanks! Edited January 22, 2019 by Squeezebox Surgeon possibly sold - waiting verification.
