Experience with a JThomas concertina?

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have experience or comments relating to concertinas made by JThomas in Maryland?  I am looking for the closest thing I can get to vintage concertina sound in a lively quick responsive instrument.  There don't seem to be any in my geographic area for me to visit- on recording the sound is pretty good.  Comments?

Autumn Rhodes, who is one of the best players in the area where I live, plays one of these.  I have played it and I like it.

Daniel- how do you find the sound to compare with vintage concertinas?

Well, vintage concertinas don't all sound the same as each other - but it sounds like a concertina-reeded instrument.
