Ring O' Bells, Morris Tune (Video)

The Lichfield Morris dance tune, Ring o' Bells, played first in G, then in D, on my G/D Dipper. There aren't many tunes that fit equally well on both main keys when you play an harmonic accompaniment, but on this one, I managed to get the two arrangements almost the same.

Very nice, and a lovely concertina! Brian Peters recorded it on his "Anglophilia" CD under the names "Farewell Manchester" and "Felton's Gavotte". Playing a 39 button Crabb C/G he takes it through the keys of G, F, D & C!

Yes, on his album, Anglophilia. I went to see him perform once and he spent the entire 1st half on melodeon. I spoke to him in the interval and he changed his plans for the second half to include more Anglo specially for me. Nice bloke and a far better player than I will ever be. I console myself with the thought that he is probably not an especially good cross country unicyclist.
