PaddyLosty Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Bought the CD and gave it a few listens already. Really nice playing, excellent relaxed pace. That old Wheatstone sounds great!
TunesFromTheFlaggyShore Posted September 29, 2017 Author Posted September 29, 2017 Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed the music. The Old Wheatstone is very reliable and can't seem to find a concertina that can even compare to the sound that comes out of this old one ;-)
SusanW Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I bought a copy at The Button Box. I love it! You did a great job. I especially enjoyed Jim Droney's and Darby the Driver, which you taught to us in a workshop a few years ago.

beryl Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I love this CD! Wonderful sets of tunes and a beautiful, rhythmic, relaxed pace of play. I encourage yo to add it to your music collections!
TunesFromTheFlaggyShore Posted October 4, 2017 Author Posted October 4, 2017 Thank you Peter Laban for the correction.
palacinky Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Florence, I love both your playing and your taste in Irish music. You let the tunes breathe and sing with no rushing and no distracting flourish. It's 100% concertina—not concertina trying to imitate other instruments. Brava!
polavoy Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Got this download CD recently and have hardly stopped playing it. Simply a delight to listen to the rolling rhythms and subtle playing and ornamentation. A bit of a trend to fast tunes with many young players in Scotland just now so this is real tonic. Pure quality.
