Dating A Crabb Concertina

It has 31 keys C/G

The serial number stamped onto the metal side is 18457.

The other side says "H.Crabb, Maker, 158 Liverpool Road, London"

I'd like to have an idea of when it was made.

Number 18485 has been reliably reported in an earlier post as built in 1975. So a fair guess would be the same year, or possibly a year earlier, for 18457.

 

It is likely that Mr Geoffrey Crabb, a subscriber to this site, will see your post and give you a more accurate date....

Fergus, from the records, 18457 was made to order in November 1974 for customer in Canada.
