beryl Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 Is anyone aware of any audio recordings of rolls done slowly? I have used the OAIM lessons but the rolls are not explained or played slowly enough for a beginner/intermediate. Unfortunately there are no instructors or concertina players where I live in the USA. Thanks for any help!
Laitch Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Consider discussing the situation with Junior Stevens, beryl. You can hear him play Clover, Jeffries, and Ball and Beavon C/G anglos at this Button Box webpage. Scroll down to find them and click on their videos.
beryl Posted October 7, 2016 Author Posted October 7, 2016 Great playing by Junior Stevens. Really hoping to see something that says "These are the notes played for a B roll) then someone demonstrating it slowly!
Don Taylor Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Have you tried one of the many music slow down software programs that are available?
beryl Posted October 8, 2016 Author Posted October 8, 2016 The Amazing Slowdowner did the trick! I was able to slow down the rolls played by Edel Fox and Dympna O'Sullivan and finally figured out what they were doing and how it should sound. Thanks!
