Finish Repair Needed

Someone placed a concertina down and hit a corner too hard. What would be a possible fix and is this lacquer or varnish. This is a 30 year old Bastari Concertina. Thanks Ron

I have been told that Bastaris and Stagis were finished with nitrocellulose lacquer[*]. But I do not know for sure.

 

Many guitars are finished with this stuff so a local luthier might be able to help you.

[*] Nitrocellulose lacquer is not the same as the lacquer that you buy in the local hardware store.
