Mike.L Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) Dear Sirs, I have an early Wheatstone 6 sided concertina in good condition for sale, it’s serial number is 3296 shown inside the fretwork on one end. I have found the information below from this ledger on a UK web site. http://www.horniman.info/WNCMARC/C1047/PAGES/C3P0280S.HTM It appears in the Wheatstone record (above) as being sold to one Field esq. on Sept 24th 1851. There are 24 buttons on either side, the end panels are of timber construction, the bellows are in good condition & all the notes work. It is housed in the original wooden hexagonal shaped box. The only damage I can see is one small piece of the wooden fretwork is missing, refer to one of the enclosed pictures. If you need more detailed photos I will send them to you. The concertina is in Brisbane. Would anyone be able to give a an estimate of its value please. Regards, Mike.L Edited June 11, 2016 by Mike.L
