Nanette Hooker Posted January 6, 2005 Posted January 6, 2005 Can anyone tell me what these things mean?
Nanette Hooker Posted January 8, 2005 Author Posted January 8, 2005 Did I ask a stupid question? OR Am I on everyone's ignore list? OR Does no-one know the answer?
David Barnert Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Did I ask a stupid question? OR Am I on everyone's ignore list? OR Does no-one know the answer? Let me be the first to say that I do not know the answer. I don't think it's a stupid question (although there are other new and baffling features of the new interface that I might have asked about first). I just ran my cursor over the icons down there and found that the only active link is the word "queries" and it opens another copy of the current page, apparently as some sort of debugging function. I just noticed that the number of queries has increased from 11 to 12 as I have been writing this.
Lester Bailey Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 From the IPB Website: GZIP enables pages to be sent quicker to the client since they are compressed, saving bandwidth. However, this option increases CPU usage. Queries indicates the number of SQL queries used to produce the page and the time the amount of server time used to produce the pages
Nanette Hooker Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 Queries indicates the number of SQL queries used to produce the page SQL ??
Lester Bailey Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Queries indicates the number of SQL queries used to produce the page SQL ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Structured Query Language - a programming language used to query of the data in a database in a structured manner. Aren't all concertina players computer programmers/engineers ?
JimLucas Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 SQL ??Structured Query Language - a programming language used to query of the data in a database in a structured manner. Ah yes, the one true programming theology. Aren't all concertina players computer programmers/engineers ? A poll! Let's have another poll! Ah, but how many categories should there be? Some of us write programs that don't use SQL, or even databases.
