Just registering my interest in purchasing one of the above; presently learning the ropes on a scarlatti which I'm enjoying but the sound is, how shall I put it- like an end-stage smoker puffing on a kazoo!

FWIW, Mayfair was made by Wheatstone, not Lachenal.

 

There are other possibilities you should probably consider, but I'll let others chime in on that, as I'm trying to catch up many things after a week without my computer.
