Bill Crossland Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) This is a restored 22 key mahogany ended Lachenal, restored a couple of years ago and played regularly since. It's fitted with new 6 fold bellows, and metal buttons bushed through the wooden ends to quieten the action. It's in C/G, and the extra button on the right gives you C#/Eb, on the left Bb/Ab, useful to have when you are wanting to play in D. It has a good set of reeds, tuned to concert pitch. It's numbered 185,876, and has the staple type action typical of this sort of later Lachenal instrument. As you can see from the pictures, the woodwork has been stripped and repolished, though it shows a couple of areas of light wear now. The steel reeds respond quickly and the instrument plays well with a nice tone. It comes with a good quality padded gig back. Price is £390 plus postage. Callers welcome if you want to try it out! The usual contribution to Cnet if it sells from this forum Edited January 3, 2016 by Bill Crossland
Takayuki YAGI Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I had similar 22 key restored by Barleycorn several years ago. Extra buttons were exactly the same. Not bushed like this and had 5-fold bellows, so this one on this topic looks nicer. The light weight of the 22 key gave me a great merit to travel with. Sometimes I had to stop playing in the A tune though. I hope your 22 key find a new home :-) -- Taka
