Michael Eskin Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 (edited) Anyone else feel like they're returing the carriage on a manual typewriter when using the air button to quickly bring in the bellows at the end of a phrase during a fast tune? Just one of those strange thoughts while playing... Brings back fond memories from my childhood... Michael Edited December 17, 2004 by eskin
Stephen Chambers Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 (edited) a manual typewriter Another subject of Wheatstone's inventions. (Though his designs have a tendancy to look more like small keyboard musical instruments !) Edited December 17, 2004 by Stephen Chambers
Stephen Chambers Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Anyone else feel like they're returing the carriage on a manual typewriter when using the air button to quickly bring in the bellows at the end of a phrase during a fast tune? Maybe you could get a bell installed, activated by the air button, to complete the effect ? (It has been done ! In the 1870's/'80's it was not uncommon to have bells on the bass end of melodeons, often activated by one of the bass buttons/levers, but I'm sure I have seen one where it was worked by the wind key.)
