Furts Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I own a concertina that belonged to my grandfather, I am wanting to learn to play it, but I realized that it is a little different, there are 19 buttons, I'm not sure how much the brand, the only thing is a (emblem?) written "Steel Voices (Vozes de aço)" . Can anyone help me identify it? There is some method to learn how to play it? I'm putting some pictures. It is very old and needs repairs. I did not find much information on the inside. Only: G(maybe C) D - GG - 1955. I'm sorry for my bad english.
Wolf Molkentin Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Since wat you have is not a concertina but a melodeon (bisonoric button accordion), you will get better advice at melodeon.net. Good luck with the instrument and learning how to play it! Best wishes - Wolf

But you're not to be blamed for calling it a "concertina". In Portugal -- so also in Brazil? -- it is called a "concertina".

Here it has many names, including: Concertina, Cordeona, Pé-de-Bode, Oito Baixos, Botoneira, Sanfona, Acordeon and other regional names.
